She was chosen out of 60 Belmont applicants to share a stage with Big Yellow Dog’s writers, as well as special guests Trisha Yearwood and Josh Turner. Her junior year, she was selected as a finalist in Belmont’s ASCAP Writer’s Night series, and was also nominated for Belmont’s "Songwriter of the Year" award.
