About BLAME - the Comic

Blame the Comic — Biography

Blame the Comic is a Houston-born stand-up comedian, host, actor, sketch creator, and early digital comedy pioneer with more than two decades of experience entertaining audiences. Since beginning his professional comedy career in 2002, Blame has become known for energetic storytelling, quick improvisation, relatable observations, and an unpredictable stage presence that keeps audiences engaged.

His name is part of the experience. It can be read as Blame the Comic or as an instruction: “Blame” the comic. No matter what happens during the show, Blame wants to be the one held responsible for the laughter.

Blame achieved national recognition early in his career with an appearance on BET’s comedy competition series *Coming to the Stage*. He also won the Kings and Queens of Comedy competition and became a Las Vegas Comedy Festival regional winner in the college category, earning the opportunity to perform at the historic Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas.

Throughout his career, Blame has performed alongside, opened for, toured with, or shared stages with respected entertainers including Mo’Nique, Rickey Smiley, Eddie Griffin, Nephew Tommy, Chingo Bling, Mike Epps, and other nationally recognized comedians. His versatility allows him to connect with audiences in comedy clubs, theatres, arenas, churches, corporate events, colleges, and private celebrations.

Long before short-form comedy became a major part of social media, Blame was already writing, producing, and starring in original internet sketches. As one of Houston’s early online comedians, he participated in some of the first waves of viral comedy videos, using characters, parodies, family situations, and everyday observations to reach audiences beyond the traditional comedy stage.

Although his digital work has attracted a large and loyal following, Blame remains a stand-up comedian first. His live performances combine polished material, spontaneous crowd interaction, personal storytelling, and the ability to adjust naturally to different rooms and audiences.

As his life evolved, so did his comedy. Becoming a husband and father introduced a new level of honesty and relatability to his material. His current comedy sketches often feature his family and explore marriage, parenting, relationships, neighborhood life, and the unpredictable realities of raising children while building a career in entertainment.

In 2025, Blame gained additional national recognition through the *Because They’re Funny* Breakout Comedian of the Year competition. After competing in Los Angeles, he advanced as a national finalist and performed at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., during the Because They’re Funny Comedy Festival.

His momentum continued when he won 97.9 The Box’s **HOU Got Jokes** competition at the Houston Improv. Selected from nearly 100 submissions, Blame performed before a respected judging panel that included Ali Siddiq, Marcus D. Wiley, and Billy Sorrells.

The win earned him the opportunity to perform at Houston’s Toyota Center as part of the nationally touring **We Them Ones Comedy Tour**. After seeing his performance, comedy legend Mike Epps personally praised Blame and encouraged him with the words, “I’ll see you at the top.”

Today, Blame the Comic is recognized as an experienced and adaptable performer who can deliver stand-up comedy, crowd work, clean entertainment, hosting, family-centered comedy, and original digital content. His professionalism, stage experience, and natural connection with audiences have made him a trusted choice for live events of all sizes.

At the heart of Blame’s career is a simple mission: to help audiences escape reality for a moment, experience the healing power of laughter, and leave feeling lighter than when they arrived.

When the room comes alive and the laughter takes over, there is only one person to hold responsible:

Blame the Comic.
