We first developed the myPPK™ – Power Press Kits™ electronic press kit service in 2007 to fill what we saw as a void in the entertainment promotion industry for indie artists. At the time we were heavily involved in managing and promoting several indie individual artists and bands and were beyond dissatisfied with what online tools were available.

We began talking to other promoters, managers, and performing artists to assess what features they wanted in considering the best electronic press kit solution. We came up with a plan and we got to work. What came of that need and our desire to fill the gap is the myPPK – Power Press Kits service. It experienced rapid growth as hundreds of artists who were with the other company jumped ship and came on board to myPPK for a better ride. Many of them are still with us to this day and we are humbled and honored.

Our unique electronic press kit platform suddenly drew a worldwide audience, growing to service start-ups, stars, and legends on six continents as they toured the globe promoting their crafts.

Throughout the years we’ve continued to advance and update the technology and functionalities. A few years ago we realized that we were past the time of updating and upgrading. We needed to start from scratch and rebuild this beast from the ground up with the very latest technologies to be able to add the newest features that our customers have been requesting and make it completely responsive across all devices while making the admin panel more comprehensive and easier to use. Additionally, this complete restructuring increased the speed, stability, and security of the service.

To accomplish this, we brought in the best-damned developer for the job, J-Rad! No, that’s not his real name, but he is a humble soul who doesn’t want to be thrust into the spotlight. Suffice it to say, he slayed it on v5.X, far exceeding our very high expectations! He is a genius developer with a keen ability and innate desire to understand our service and how it relates to our customers’ needs. His passion for perfection took him far beyond just checking our boxes on the work order, to recommending and introducing additional functionality and nuances that elevate the final product to the next level. You might say that J-Rad is our ‘X’ factor, hence our choosing to name this release version v5.X. The new site went live on Oct 22, 2024.

Intelligently Adapts to Each User

The PPK service has intelligently adapted to each user from the beginning. J-Rad just brought us to an amplified new level so it’s worth mentioning. This is one of the features that separates us from the rest and draws a wide variety of people outside of the music industry to use our service including athletes, authors, speakers, models, magicians, etc. As a user populates data in the admin panel, the publicly viewable press kit adapts to show only the navigation links and information that are relevant to the populated data. No blank pages, no erroneous navigation tabs, and no irrelevant widgets are on display here.

Manage Numerous Kits From One Login

Our service has attracted numerous PR and talent agencies, labels, and the like over the years. Based on their feedback and requests, the new version permits a user to manage numerous press kits from a single login. One can easily jump between the admin panels of each of their kits to manage them efficiently. They can also quickly add new PPKs from that same login. We are proud to present this valuable tailored feature for our agency friends!

Create Your Own Theme

In past versions, we have offered a variety of pre-designed themes from which to choose. In the new version, we put that power in the hands of the user to create their own themes and change them at will. Each user can pick their highlight color and upload their background image to make their kit unique, their very own, to truly stand apart from the pack.

Responsive Website Design, Fully Mobile-Friendly

The new v5.X is developed in responsive website design to automatically resize, hide, shrink, or enlarge, to make it look good on all devices. It is also fully mobile-friendly front to back and follows Google’s mobile-first indexing best practices - Google's crawling of the web using a smartphone Googlebot. That means that you can log into your admin panel and update your PPK from the green room or the tour bus with ease at any hour of day or night. It also means that our service and your PPK will place better in search results.

Network PPKs Together

Another feature tailored to our agency and label friends that benefits all users is our network option. This creates a link page on each respective PPK showing the other PPKs in the network. Users can link to friends and label-mates to increase exposure and cross-promotion. A label or agency can have their own PPK, and show the links to all of their managed PPKs in their network link.

Private Screening Room

This option allows a user to allow invite-only password-protected access to their PPK so that only those to whom you give the password can view your kit(s) and access your exclusive multi-media files. This feature is perfect for advanced producers, engineers, promoters, management, songwriters, models, authors, etc. who only want to share a specific kit’s contents with a private, invite-only exclusive group and not with the general public. Printable Format/PDF Download

Your most relevant information included in your PPK is formatted in a clean printable presentation that can be downloaded and attached to an email or printed for hard copies when required. If you utilize our Appearances/Schedule module, it also has a printable version for fans and followers to magnet to their refrigerator or clip in their car so they never miss your appearances!

Use it as Your Website Too!

Many of our users choose to also use their PPK as their website. It has everything they need and more in one well-organized and handsome package. One simply needs to purchase a domain name at their favorite registrar and direct their domain name to point to their PPK. It's quick, easy, and one more way that your PPK can give you the professional image you need to promote your skills to the world!
