Born in the Lower East Side and raised in East New York, Brooklyn, Gee's sharp wit, energetic stage presence, and relatable, smart style have made him a staple in the comedy scene since 1999.
Gee began his career at the legendary New York Comedy Club, performing in the Latino Laughter show, founded by the late, great Ozzie Baez, a pioneer of Latinx comedy in NYC. That stage became Gee’s training ground, where he sharpened his voice and grew into the magnetic performer he is today.
“I came up in a scene where you had to earn your laughs—nothing was handed to you,” says Gee. “Ozzie gave me my first shot, and I’ve been grinding ever since. Now it’s my time.”
Over the years, Rafael has graced stages at top clubs like Broadway Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, New York Comedy Club, Comedy in Harlem, McGuire’s Comedy Club, Redd’s Comedy Club, and Punchlines Comedy Theater.
