Pop recording artist JUSTICE, born Lauren Justice, will released a new single, “Find A Way,”
“Find A Way”, the first single for emerging pop artist JUSTICE, signed to Beverly Hills based record label JMWest Entertainment Group LLC, surprised even her producer, Jean Michel Soupraya, who says: “What’s important to know (about “Find A Way”) is that what you hear lyrically on the radio is mostly from the first day we worked together. JUSTICE came to my little home studio and she just grooved on the track. She nailed it in one day, in one take, and we ended up keeping almost all of that initial recording. This is very special and very rare”
The first song on an equally promising EP, “Find A Way” is a Top 40 hit that appeals to all audiences, across generations and genres. “I grew up listening to a lot of old school music – Frank Sinatra, Etta James. I just love that old school vibe.” Says JUSTICE, “What I try to do with my music is bring that kind of sultry vibe with a hot, modern beat”
To catch her live is to witness something memorable. “Watching her perform I feel lucky to be in the room,” says JMWest Entertainment VP of Operations Jason Ordaz, “I know I’m experiencing something significant. The energy that you feel when she get’s on stage is just incredible.”
Live performances are planned for JUSTICE across the US, accompanied by her full band and troop of talented dancers, throughout 2012.

JMWest LIVE! Celebrates Its Three-Year Anniversary June 25, 2013 at The Roxy Theatre
(external link)
LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) JUNE 19, 2013
JMWest LIVE! will be celebrating its three-year anniversary this Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at The Roxy Theatre on Sunset Boulevard.
JMWest LIVE!, a monthly live music showcase created by record producer Jean-Michel Soupraya, was founded in 2010 in an effort to create a welcoming environment where new and ready-to-sign artists would be able to perform their music without having to pay. The showcases are presented by JMWest Entertainment, an independent, Beverly Hills-based record label founded by Soupraya.
To date, over 100 solo artists and bands have performed at one of JMWest LIVE!’s 30+ shows and at venues including The Roxy, On The Rox, The House of Blues, Foundation Room and Parish Room.
“When I moved here, in 2002 (from France), I realized you had to pay to play,” said Soupraya. “Artists can’t make it alone. If everyone helps a little bit, that’s where the magic comes from. And that’s why I started JMWest LIVE!”
Artists who take to the JMWest LIVE! stage vary in style and experience—rappers and jazz musicians alike have performed, as well as artists who are still in the songwriting process, and others who have already released several albums. What they all have in common, however, is the quality and talent that led Soupraya to deem them “sign-able”—the primary criteria to perform.
“I really think Jean-Michel knows how to pick bands,” said Stephanie Mata, doorman at On The Rox. “They’re just always really solid bands and really good music. For the length of time I’ve been doing this—over 20 years—if I had a hat on, I’d tip it off.”
The end result is an experience that brings only top quality performances to a room full of industry professionals, musicians, and, of course, fans. Through hard work and dedication, Soupraya and the JMWest team have provided an opportunity for gifted musicians, new talent, and other industry professionals to gather, discover and appreciate good music—all in good company!
“Think of JMWest LIVE! as a showcase for the artists we would have signed ourselves if only we were equipped to handle them all,” said Jose Sanchez, Artist Development for JMWest.
This month’s showcase features southern rocker Hannah Anders; singer/songwriter and YouTube sensation Drew Tabor; Brazilian band MarBella; soul singer Andre DePriest; LA singer Danielle Erin; and music from Russian bands Archangel, Long Day Too Short, Proseka, and Bratana. Surprises are also likely to fill the special night, including a performance from Billboard artist JUSTICE with her new Top 40 single “By My Side.”
On occasion, exceptionally talented artists will perform at multiple showcases, Hannah Anders falls into that category. “I cannot say enough how proud I am to be a part of JMWest LIVE! and how great it has been to watch it grow so much over the last 3 years,” says Anders. “I remember performing at that very first show and loving Jean Michel and his team so much. These are wonderful people who have built something great for artists to be a part of. I am so excited to perform at this anniversary show on the main stage at The Roxy! Well done JMWest!”
The showcase will take place at The Roxy Theatre. Pre-sale tickets are available at http://www.JMWestLIVE.com. For VIP admission, please email order(at)JMWestEntertainment(dot)com or call 855-2JMWest.

Finn Releases First Radio Single “Lover” with Independent Record Label JMWest Entertainment
(external link)
LOS ANGELES, Calif., March 18, 2014 – Indie blues/art pop singer/songwriter Finn released her first single, “Lover,” with Beverley Hills-based record label JMWest Entertainment. The song features Finn’s gritty vocals and honest, accessible lyrics and highlights her work with record producer/songwriter Jean-Michel Soupraya.
Oddly reminiscent of both Billie Holiday and Janice Joplin, Finn’s raw talent will stop you in your tracks. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Finn is a Southern California girl, but spend one afternoon with her and the 26 year old will have you convinced that you’ve stumbled upon the secret love child of Janice Joplin and Jack Kerouac. Either that or she has walked right off the pages of On the Road and stumbled onto the 101 Freeway…
“There is this vibe on the record,” Soupraya says of “Lover.” “When you listen to it – you are going somewhere. You like it, or you don’t like it but you know it’s natural. It is not often you find a natural vibe like that; an artist that is born with ‘it’ like Finn is.”
Finn is a true artist, a renaissance woman who draws on carefully selected bits of her influences and surroundings, pulling them into her and belting them back out fully Finn-ified.
Her sound is as magically unusual as she is – skirting that enigmatic line between indie blues and art pop; between mainstream and alternative; between roots and, well, the next big thing.
With the heart of Bob Dylan, the grittiness of Muddy Waters, the raw soul of Janis Joplin, the sultry poise of Billie Holiday, and the relevant tone of Amy Winehouse – Finn is an unmistakable force. In her voice you can hear the sweep of her paint brush, the pluck of the banjo she only sort of plays and all of the experiences in between.
“I’ve been told that my voice exudes a certain emotion,” says Finn, “I suppose the lyrics aren’t so necessary if you can understand through feeling where it is I’m coming from.
Her lyrics, however, are honest and resolute yet accessible and touching, written with confidence born of a loving family and humility birthed in the back and forth of her relationships, life experiences and the simple everyday torture of her beautiful soul.
In a nutshell, Finn (a.k.a. Tiffany Anne Jordan) is a musician who paints. She’s an artist who sings. She’s an optimistic thinker, a perceptive dreamer, an urban hippy, a bluesy experimentalist, an uncompromising lover – you know what, don’t even try to put a label on her! She’s Finn.
JMWEST – FINDING A WAY IN THE CONFUSING NEW MUSIC INDUSTRY
(external link)
(Wednesday, May 14, 2014) - Anyone who has been around this crazy music business for a while has seen it change and get more difficult and easier for independent artists at the same time. The ones who manage to stick around for any amount of time have managed to adapt and find their own way. The story of Jean-Michel Soupraya is a great example of pushing forward to success.
After a pretty successful early career in his native France, Soupraya relocated to Beverly Hills, California to experience the American music scene and how he could be a player in it. When he arrived he did not speak a word of English but dove into the language, culture, and American music. Jean-Michel spent much of his time alone and writing songs to the tune of having over 400 fully developed songs. After finding difficulty in getting stage time for his songs and the “pay to play” schemes of Los Angeles he knew something had to be done to change it and JMWest Live was born. The goal was to provide a platform where up and coming sign-able artists could have the opportunity for exposure based solely on talent. He is always on the lookout for simple pure music.
With his new venture he found people who are committed, authentic, focused and pragmatic enough to make it in this business. JMWest is currently releasing material with four artists that we have introduced to our readers, Kylie Marcus “No Disguise” (EP), Justice (EP), Finn “Lover” (Single), RuZanna “You Don’t Know How To Love” (Single). It seems as if Jean-Michel Soupraya may have hit a nerve in the new music business as his artist are charting on Billboard and building up an army of fans. Music saved my life,” says Soupraya, “it fills me with purpose, with passion – with its magic. I’m driven to cast that spell on others.”

KYLIE MARCUS BURNING UP THE CHARTS WITH HER “YELLOW SHIRT”
(external link)
(Friday, May 23, 2014) - Pop singer Kylie Marcus is currently #4 on the Billboard hot singles sales charts and continuing to confound the industry as well as gaining fans around the world. With her hit single “Yellow Shirt”, Kylie is poised for the ‘next level’ in her career as a pop singer/songstress. With a soulful, almost jazzy voice, the 21 year old has been compared to everyone from Barbara Streisand to Amy Winehouse. She’s even been hailed as a female Bruno Mars.
The song is everywhere, I know, I did my homework, and her lyric video on YouTube shows a wry sense of humor about it all. Kylie seems to take it all in stride, but maybe I should just let her speak for herself…
Skope: First, tell us about the single “Yellow Shirt”, how did it come about?
Kylie: I was in the studio with Jean-Michel Soupraya. He played me a recorded jam sesh he had from years back and told me to go in the booth and freestyle. I started singing “Hey, you. Yellow shirt…” and it kinda just stuck. We started working from there. Eventually we brought in Franck Gelibert who co-wrote with us as well. In the end, some of the most amazing musicians and engineers got involved in the track, from Guy Nasange-Akwa who was actually on the original jam to Paul Jackson Jr., JR Robinson, Luis Conte, Steve Sykes, Scott Frankfurt and Phil Tan and Chris Gehringer. As a new artist, you can imagine, this was blowing my mind! I’m so glad we did that freestyle!!
Skope: You’re working with record producer/songwriter Jean-Michel Soupraya, how did the two of you meet?
Kylie: When I was still going to school in Chicago I went to perform at a JMWest LIVE! showcase held in LA. JMWest Entertainment puts on the showcase for unsigned artists they think are “signable”. JM liked my voice and, after the show, we had a few meetings and next thing I knew I was signed!
Skope: Who are some of your musical inspirations and what got you into singing?
Kylie: I have a very eclectic music taste. You can find everything from musical theater to rap music on my iPod. I would say Michael Jackson is the biggest reason I got into singing and performing. I was always so fascinated by him. When I was a kid I was writing songs; I wrote my first song at nine. I was listening to a lot of Jackson 5 and Michael Jasckson at the time. My lyrics were super heavy, all about love and heartache. I had a teacher at school who helped me record what I had written and my dad shared it with people who kept say, ‘there is no way a nine year old wrote those words!’ I guess I figured, if Michael Jackson could sing about all this stuff as a kid, why couldn’t I?
Skope: Your music is described as Pop/R&B but also gets into dance, soul and jazz. How would you describe what you do?
Kylie: Eclectic. Jean-Michel and I tried to make it so there was a song for everybody on the EP. It was really important for him to show my range in these first few songs. Now, we are back at work on new material and I am excited to see where that takes us.
Skope: Back to your partnership with Jean-Michel, does he write the music and you write lyrics? How do you two work together? What’s it like in the studio?
Kylie: He handles the music. I write the lyrics. Although we’ll both dip into the other sometimes. It’s very fun! Jean-Michel is so talented and wonderful to work with. And he knows me really well. That’s really important when working with someone.
Skope: Were you surprised at the success of Yellow Shirt? Was it something unexpected to reach #4 on Billboard Charts?
Kylie: So surprised! So excited, so grateful. I didn’t expect any of it at all.
Skope: I read that you have a new e.p. coming out “No Disguise”, what can fans of Yellow Shirt expect?
Kylie: A full EP! Every song is different. Every song means something to me. I rap a little and I really sing with my full voice, which are both things that will be new for people who have only heard “Yellow Shirt”. I keep getting tweets and Facebook messages about the ballad, “Walk On Water”, and another mid-tempo R&B song “Something Wrong.” So, I think my full voice is the big surprise for “Yellow Shirt” fans.

Skope: Will you be performing or touring in support of your music?
Kylie: I hope so! I’ve been doing local shows in L.A. at The Mint, The Beverly Hills Hotel and I just finished a gig for 50,000 people at the inaugural Ktown Night Market in Los Angeles, which was awesome. I’m really looking forward to more!
Skope: How influential was your family in you becoming a singer?
Kylie: Extremely. They’re my number one fans.
Skope: Where can people check out your music and social media sites?
Kylie: You can find everything anywhere you can download music, iTunes, Amazon etc. “Yellow Shirt” is playing on radio across the US, so listen for it! Also, you can connect with me at www.KylieMarcus.com or @Kylie_marcus on Twitter and Kylie Marcus Music on Facebook
Check out “Yellow Shirt” in case you haven’t already heard it. Be warned, once you hear it, it’ll be stuck in your head for days.

JUSTICE, Pop recording artist with Los Angeles based record label JMWest Entertainment
(external link)
JUSTICE, born Lauren JUSTICE, is a pop recording artist with Beverly Hills-based record label JMWest Entertainment.
Her debut single, “Find A Way,” was released in 2012 and charted for 9 weeks reaching #30 on the Top 40 Billboard Indicator Chart. Her second single, “By My Side,” was released in March of 2013 and reached #34 of the same TOP 40 chart. Her first EP, Crazy, will be released on March 18, 2014.
“I grew up listening to a lot of old school music – Frank Sinatra, Etta James – I just love that old school vibe. What I try to do with my music is bring that kind of sultry vibe with a hot, modern beat.”
“By My side” is JUSTICE’s second US release. In addition to perfectly capturing her fun loving spirit, it reflects her continued collaboration with record producer and co-songwriter Jean-Michel Soupraya.
“Justice is a down to earth, real girl,” says Soupraya, “She’s roots. She’s also a fresh new talent. Our goal with this single was to merge the traditional with the new pop sound, and, of course, to make people move…and smile.”
What draws people in to JUSTICE’s music is not only the evidence of her authentic talent (this girl can sing!), but also the unique style and vibe of her vocals. She has a definitive sound that is both recognizable and memorable.
With her EP Crazy about to drop, you can expect much more from JUSTICE. “I love to write lyric and melody. Every song is different; sometimes we’re putting together our old ideas and putting a new twist on it, other times we’re writing something fresh and new from scratch. Either way, everything you’re going to hear on the EP is a hundred percent JUSTICE, completely representative of me – of who I am as an artist and as a person. It’s so important to me to be authentic, to keep it real.”
Her sexy, fun loving and adventurous personality comes across through her music and in her stage performance. Taking the stage with both a full band and a team of talented dancers, JUSTICE delivers a powerful set that gets people moving and leaves them wanting more.
Growing up in Lake Arrowhead California, JUSTICE spent most of her free time outdoors – where water-skiing, archery, or dirt bike riding were among her many hobbies; this sexy tomboy even took up professional boxing for a stint. Despite her rugged social life, JUSTICE still blossomed into a sensual entertainer.
Soupraya discovered JUSTICE’s natural gift when working on “Find A Way.” “What’s important to know”, he says, “is that what you hear lyrically on the radio is mostly from the first day we worked together. Justice came to my little home studio and she just grooved on this track. She nailed it on day one, in one take, and we ended up keeping almost all of that initial recording. This is very special and very rare.”
A talented djembe percussionist, JUSTICE is always ready with a beat and a harmony. Her father, a piano and saxophone player, discovered her unique talent early on: “She would just sit on the bench beside me, if I was playing piano, and start singing harmonies – it didn’t matter what I was playing, she just joined in.” JUSTICE found her musical groove at a young age as he introduced her to the music she loves, “music with a soul.”
“I write about what is really happening in my day-to-day life,” explains JUSTICE. “Sometimes it’s really emotional for me and sometimes life is good! I just hope that when people listen to my music they can relate to what I’m going through and that somehow through that, we all feel connected in a way. That’s what I look for in the music I love; and I hope that is what I bring to others through my music.”
JUSTICE, born Lauren JUSTICE, is a pop recording artist with Los Angeles based record label JMWest Entertainment.
RUZANNA – SULTRY INTERNATIONAL TALENT REACHES HOLLYWOOD
(external link)
There are special nuances within any singing voice that an artist is born with that can not be taught. While developing your personal style find that niche and harness it to set yourself apart from the rest. One artist that has managed to do this both with her voice and the music she accompanies it with is RuZanna.
RuZanna
Growing up in Kazakhstan (in the former Soviet Union), RuZanna’s childhood was devoted to artistic training. She began her classical piano training at the age of eight. By fourteen, she had toured the country with her dancing group, winning competitions. Thanks to an accelerated program she finished school at fifteen and enrolled in the Kazakh National Academy of Arts to study choreography. This was a girl on an artistic mission. She relocated to Hollywood, California to chase her dreams and her fascination with pop music. RuZanna enrolled at The Musicians Institute to better learn the craft of songwriting and surround herself with creative minds.
Recently she has been collaborating with Jean-Michel Soupaya of JMWest Entertainment and a full EP is in the works. Indie Band Guru was able to get a listne to a couple of the tracks set for this release. The first “You Don’t Know How To Love” is a dark and ominous song that lets Ruzanna’s sultry vocals stand out and capture the listener’s attention with its unique sound. The ambient background sound creates an epic soundscape that fills your ears. The other track “Let It Out” is an electronic dance floor ready number with its own unique feel. RuZanna’s vocals again create a sexy atmosphere while the worldly beat pushes your hips into action. There is some real talent brewing here. Keep on top of this rising star at: www.RuzannaMusic.com

Independent record label JMWest Entertainment announced the details for its artists’ release party showcasing their work with Jean-Michel Soupraya, to be held on March 18, 2014 from 7-9 pm at the Gibson Showroom in Beverly Hills.
The evening will celebrate releases from JMWest Entertainment signed recording artists – Kylie Marcus, RuZanna, and Finn – all of whom will be performing. Special guest performances from the legendary William Goldstein and an appearance or two from Magic Castle performers, along with food and beverage, will enhance the red carpet event.
Kylie Marcus, whose single “Yellow Shirt” has already taken off on radio since its Thanksgiving Day debut on Sirius XM, will be releasing her debut EP No Disguise. Kylie is a 21-year-old American Pop/R&B artist – a female Bruno Mars. Imagine the musical offspring of Barbara Streisand and James Brown and you have a glimpse into the soul of Marcus.
With No Disguise, Kylie delivers a well-rounded selection that showcases all facets of her Pop/R&B sound. “Yellow Shirt” gets people on their feet. Kylie rides the groove into “Butterfly,” adds a touch of jazz with “Something Wrong,” and conquers the ballad “Walk On Water.” In “The Real Me,” Kylie drops a rhyme and opens a window into her private world.
“Kylie has this voice, a force of its own, that almost exists by itself,” says record producer/songwriter Jean-Michel Soupraya. “It’s somewhere between jazz and soul, somewhere between strong and tender, somewhere between Streisand and Winehouse. She really doesn’t sound like anyone else, she just sounds good—she sounds like Kylie Marcus.”
Indie blues/art pop singer/songwriter Finn is debuting her single, “Lover,” which features Finn’s gritty vocals and honest, accessible lyrics. Oddly reminiscent of both Billie Holiday and Janice Joplin, Finn’s raw talent will stop you in your tracks.
“There is this vibe on the record,” Soupraya says of “Lover.” “When you listen to it – you are going somewhere. You like it, or you don’t like it but you know it’s natural. It is not often you find a natural vibe like that; an artist that is born with ‘it’ like Finn is.”
International alternative pop recording artist/songwriter RuZanna will introduce her first US release, “You Don’t Know How to Love,” an epic ambient love song. What draws people in to RuZanna’s music is her trademark long steady siren’s call, the purity of her vocal, the universal messages woven through her self-penned lyrics and, of course, her seductive sound.
“I want to create the style of music I love: music made with the soul, music that is pleasant not only for the ears but for the mind as well,” says RuZanna.
Jean-Michel Soupraya who produced and co-wrote all of the material being presented at the event, founded JMWest Entertainment as an outgrowth of JMWest Records (France 1997) after many successes, including Eurovision. The Beverly Hills-based record label is responsible for charting US radio releases “Find A Way” by Justice (2012 - #30 Top 40 Billboard Indicator) and “By My Side” by Justice (2013 - #34 Top 40 Billboard Indicator).
In addition to performances by Kylie Marcus, Ruzanna, and Finn, who will each perform their sets backed by a full band, there will be a special guest performance by master pianist and composer William Goldstein. Mr. Goldstein has been a recording artist for Motown and CBS Masterworks. He has over forty albums currently available and has scored over fifty movie and television projects, including Fame and The Miracle Worker.
Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will precede the performances.

Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ JMWest Entertainment) American Pop/R&B singer Kylie Marcus released her first EP, No Disguise, today with Beverly Hills-based record label JMWest Entertainment. The EP, featuring radio single "Yellow Shirt" is garnering serious attention as it works its way up the charts. Marcus celebrated the release of her EP and months of work with producer and songwriter and JMWest Entertainment founder Jean-Michel Soupraya at a release party at the Gibson Showroom in Beverly Hills. "Yellow Shirt" is currently #32 on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart. Born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, 21-year old Marcus is a female Bruno Mars - magine the musical offspring of Barbara Streisand and James Brown and you have a glimpse into the soul of Kylie Marcus. "Kylie has this voice, a force of its own, that almost exists by itself," says Soupraya. "It's somewhere between jazz and soul, somewhere between strong and tender, somewhere between Streisand and Winehouse. She really doesn't sound like anyone else, she just sounds good - she sounds like Kylie Marcus." With the debut of No Disguise, Kylie delivers a well-rounded selection that showcases all facets of her Pop/R&B sound. In "Yellow Shirt," her first single releasing alongside the EP, Kylie gets people on their feet. She rides the groove into "Butterfly," adds a touch of jazz with "Something Wrong," and conquers the ballad "Walk On Water". In "The Real Me," Kylie drops a rhyme and opens a window into her personal life. "I write what is really real for me. I've never been great at communicating my feelings face to face. I've always been the "tough one", but I'm human and I do have feelings. Music, lyrics, writing - that's how I handle my feelings." No Disguise features the stylings of talented musicians such as Paul Jackson, Jr. (guitar), Guy Nsangue-Akwa (bass), John JR Robinson (drums), Luis Conte (percussion), Dorian Holley (vocals), Charlean Hines Carmon (vocals), Jasmine Lee (vocals), Franck Gelibert (piano), and Jean-Michel Soupraya (keyboard). Kylie's EP is raw, real, and can rock the boat at times, but "I can't do it any other way," she says. "This is how I express myself; it's the only way I know how." Will the help of talented sound engineers Steve Sykes, Scott Frankfurt, mixing engineer Phil Tan, mastering engineer Chris Gehringer, and of course, Soupraya himself, Kylie Marcus delivers! With airplay that kicked off on Sirius XM's 20 on 20 on Thanksgiving Day, "Yellow Shirt" is now playing on stations across the US and working its way up the Mediabase Charts in multiple genres—Top 40, Rhythmic and Urban, where the single has already broken into the top 100 (currently at #79). Despite the parental advisory warning and the relevant Urban Pop influence, Kylie is all soul when she sings. In every song she tells a truth, a story—hers or one she has personally witnessed—with a wisdom and honesty that is simultaneously refreshing and nostalgic. "I've never written any other kind of music," says Kylie. "Everyone in my family listens to something different - my dad loves Kansas, my mom rocks out a little more than that and my sisters both have their own thing going on. I guess, growing up, I always just felt like R&B was personal for me, it was my thing. It just feels authentic for to me. It always has." Whether Pop/R&B is your thing or not, there is no question Kylie Marcus is doing her thing. "I'll be me in my music, because I need to be. This is what I do for me; and if I'm lucky I'll get to keep doing it for others too." Read more at: https://tr.im/RcpoE

Kylie Marcus talked with Cyrus Webb during his radio segment Conversations Live.
Webb, an astute and thorough interviewer got Marcus to open up about what it means to her to be “real.” This was a more than fair topic, with an EP entitiled _No Disguise_ about to release on March 18, 2014; One of the songs is even called “The Real Me”!
The “Yellow Shirt” singer brought it home with the no nonsense candor she is already famous for at JMWest Entertainment – soon, everyone will know exactly what to expect from her – nothin’ but Kylie Marcus.

(Monday, February 03, 2014) - Kylie Marcus Combines Of Funk And R&B With "Yellow Shirt"
Her music has an aura of Barbra Streisand with a bit of Pharrell William's flair for getting groovy on tracks
From the entertainment capital of the world comes an exciting new artist ready to make you get your groove on. The newest singing sensation Kylie Marcus has hit the ground running straight to stardom with her latest single and video "Yellow Shirt". A soulful combination of funk and R&B, Kylie Marcus' music knows no bounds, and her personality outshines even the most beautifully sung choruses she can belch out deep within her.
Kylie's style has an up-tempo, contemporary R&B feel to it and some added funk for good measure. Her music has an aura of Barbra Streisand with a bit of Pharrell William's flair for getting groovy on tracks; and that is an accolade in itself. She prides her self with having a nice smooth vocal range but let's her strong personality take over songs, which definitely take her to the next level.
Her single, "Yellow Shirt", was produced by Jean-Michel Soupraya and even he couldn't resist to get down and jive to the record. "Yellow Shirt" feels like a sheet music straight from James Brown, as it has a real up-tempo rhythm to it with a vibe you can just loose yourself in. The funk in the background chugs away at the beat as you are engulfed with Kylie's mischievous lyrics and persuaded to listen to her like a siren's call. As the funk keeps playing, there is a moment where the bridge comes in to soothe your heart and give you a needed break from all that dancing. It's here where you can truly enjoy her vocal range and experience Kylie Marcus' talents as a singer. But nevertheless the song goes right back to it's original groove. Musically speaking, this song's energy is overwhelming and forces you to let go and feel good.
Kylie's lyrics are driven by her personality, as she is trying to be flirtatious with a man in a "Yellow Shirt". However she is aggressive and knows what she wants, and will sing her away to her man's heart, even though he might be taken. Her fun and frisky delivery offer the listener a coy, humorous tune to boogie to and may even be an anthem to empower women and let the guys take a break from doing all the flirting; not all girls play hard to get!
Kylie Marcus has done an excellent job with combining a touchy subject and making it carefree. Not only that, the song's energy propels her to a Motown-esque echelon of music that is slowly making a comeback in today's mainstream musical tastes. Kylie Marcus' voice, coupled with her strong, sassy style, will be something to keep an ear out for as she already has a strong radio presence. Be on the look out for her new music slated to come out later this year and if you're a man, you might be in for a surprise if you're wearing a "Yellow Shirt".

The lyric video production was by Emy Freeman and the caricatures were commissioned from digital caricature artist, Angie Jordan who's recent work with Sofia Vergara caught Freeman's eye: "This is such a fun song, and Angie Jordan's style just captures perfectly Kylie's sense of humor."
