Louisville's HANNAN delivers the perfect mix of hard rock, modern rock, and alt-rock — all wrapped in one big, groove-oriented, riff-driven package. It's a sound that pairs serious musicianship and songwriting with catchy, melodic hooks and a highly charged live show, drawing a growing legion of fans along the way.

Reviewing the single "Deliver Me," Leo Weekly called HANNAN "one of those rare bands that click on every level," with songwriting that's "flat out astounding" and material a major label "could release as-is, no tweaks necessary." The single has neared a million YouTube views.

That same balance caught the attention of Chet Roberts, guitarist for 3 Doors Down. After seeing HANNAN live in the winter of 2018, Roberts offered to produce the band — a partnership that yielded 2019's Charm Offensive EP and 2024's Last Disguise album.

HANNAN's catalog includes the singles "Drive," "No Reason Why," "Drama Queen," "Make Up Your Mind," "Get High," "Deliver Me," and "Long Way Down" — the last spending four months in the Top 20 of the Global Digital Rock Radio Charts.

Listening to Last Disguise by Louisville’s Hannan makes you realize how bad we, as a record-buying public, fucked up by letting the music industry, as we knew it, die off; because this is multi-platinum album selling, sold out arena, major festival headlining, worldwide stardom-level material right here! Produced by Chet Roberts (Three Doors Down), Last Disguise is everything great about modern rock music. Every one of the 11 tracks on this album is absolutely filled with huge hooks that pull you in and hold you there, then stay with you long afterwards. Hannan is one of those rare bands that click on every level. The musicianship, the songwriting, everything here is just flat out astounding. This is the perfect mix of hard rock, modern rock, and alt-rock, all wrapped up in one big groove-oriented, riff-driven package. And the production here — slick and highly-polished — is absolutely top-notch. This album could be released by a major label as is, no tweaks necessary. Even the cd packaging, with its full color artwork, double-sided tray card, and eight-page booklet, is major label-level professional. There is a lot of time, heart, passion, energy and obviously money that went into making this album, and it pays off in spades. Every one of these songs is radio ready, and there is an audience of millions out there that will be chomping at the bit for them. I just hope fate, luck, and good fortune make these guys the superstars they deserve to be.

When you hear a band like HANNAN, you realize what a shame it is that the music industry has gone to shit. This is a band that is absolutely bursting at the seams with catchy hooks, solid musicianship, and excellent songwriting skills that should be blaring from every rock radio station the world over, along with multi-platinum records and sold out arena tours to boot.

Back in the day, major label A&R reps would have been fighting tooth and nail to sign a band half this good. But it certainly does make you proud that Louisville could produce a band with this level of talent.

“Drive” is the first single off HANNAN’s upcoming album Last Disguise, and it’s a burner! Produced by 3 Doors Down guitarist Chet Roberts, (who also produced HANNAN’s 2019 Charm Offensive ep), “Drive” is a groove-oriented, riff-driven, modern rock/alt-rock hybrid with a little Southern flare to it.
But make no mistake, this is no run-of-the-mill radio rock band; HANNAN has a highly-polished, distinctive sound and style all their own.
“Drive” is led by Graham Hannan's smooth yet soaring vocals, alongside the powerhouse riffs, (not to mention shredding dual guitar solos), of Kris Kerr and Dave Muscutt, all supported by the solid, in-the-pocket rhythm section of Josh Smart (bass) and Dean Dufresne (drums). Having just signed with CB Entertainment and garnered 31,000 views of the “Drive” music video within the first month, those major labels may yet be calling!

“Get High”

No local band has ever impressed me on the level that Hannan did at the release show for their album Last Disguise. The talent, visuals, and stage presence I saw that night from Hannan was every bit on par with that of any major label band who’ve been touring arenas for years. The music video for this album opener was shot during the band’s set at the 2024 Inkcarceration Festival in Ohio and gives a great introduction as to what to expect from these guys. It’s a hard-hitting, burner of a modern rock song that is as professional in all aspects of writing and musicianship as it gets, local or otherwise. They’re not rock stars (yet), but they sure as fuck deserve to be.
